Seminar “Time-resolved spectroscopy methods to investigate excited state dynamics of complex molecular and metal clusters species"

In this seminar we will openly discuss the main methods and apparatuses used to investigate and built the excited state kinetics of various systems. As you certainly know, in spectroscopy we need to use all the tools at hand to obtain a clear picture of the excited state processes involved. This happens because we do not have a perfect instrument, all these methods have advantages and weaknesses, are able to provide clear and direct evidences or have limitations that we need to be aware of in order to avoid misleading.

Workshop “Ultrafast Pump Probe Optical Microscopy Techniques and their Applications in Nanoscience"

The purpose of this workshop (see abstract below) is to bring together leading researchers from academia, industry and federal laboratories to discuss the state of the art of various implementations of ultrafast pump-probe optical microscopies within USA groups and abroad and possible interfacing with synchrotron studies as well implications of the utilization of these methods in understanding dynamics at nanoscale and at ultrafast times in nanomaterials and the potential gain resulted from such studies.
